Le réalisateur

Kiriya Kazuaki est né en 1968. Depuis les années 80, il demeure un photographe de mode renommé au niveau international. Il réalise entre autres des clips pour Robbie Williams et Misia. Casshern est son premier long métrage. En 2009, il livre Goemon un second opus.

Le film

Basé sur une série animée des années 1970, le film en impose dès les premières secondes tant son esthétique rétro-futuriste est réussie. L’intrigue ? Difficile de narrer un opéra d’effets spéciaux en quelques lignes ! Schématiquement, l’action se déroule dans le futur. L’humanité connaît une période très difficile. En effet, nos futurs descendants sont pris d’assaut par les « Neo-Sapiens », une race humanoïde mutante prête à tout pour s’emparer du pouvoir. Souffle épique et action garantis !

Le réalisateur

Débutée en 1981, l’abondante filmographie de Yojiro Takita (né en 1955) oscille allègrement entre fresque historique, fantastique, érotisme ou mélodrame. En émergent notamment Himitsu (The Secret, 1999), Onmyoji (The Yin-Yang Master, 2001), et Mibu gishi den (When the Last Sword Is Drawn), sacré « Meilleur film japonais » en 2004. En 2009, il gagfne l’oscare du meilleur film étranger avec Departures.

Le film

Dans le Japon de l’ère Edo, alors que la lutte entre démons et samouraïs fait rage, s’annonce la résurrection de la maléfique et toute-puissante Ashura. Simultanément, Izumo, un ancien chasseur de démons reconverti dans le théâtre, rencontre une énigmatique jeune fille. Son amour le mènera vers un ultime combat.

En adaptant une récente pièce à succès, Jojiro Takita allume un extravagant feu d’artifice visuel où la romance tragique débouche sur des scènes d’action virtuoses, où le théâtre kabuki se pare des couleurs crépusculaires de la dark fantasy.

For the past 3 years Cordeb'Art has ranked as the current reference on MANGA design in Lausanne.
This year, you can enjoy the work of its students through a fabulous fanzine or you can try drawing whatever goes through your mind, on the craziest themes at the stand.

Kid Chocolat & POL Featuring Akira (Remix) (No children under 16 allowed) 

Kid Chocolat & POL are preparing for you an evening as a tribute to Akira, the cult work of Otomo! Keeping this in mind, they will be making a real live performance, a complete remix of the work, in real time! All this, in the Polymanga STAR amphitheater! Don't forget, this will take place during the evening of Saturday Polymanga!
