General Cosplay Competitions (Sunday)
Swiss Selection for the Polymanga Swiss Cosplay League
This competition brings together around ten of the best cosplayers in Switzerland, judged on their costume (80%) and stage performance (20%). The winners will secure their place in the national final at Polymanga 2027, where they will compete for the title and a series of cash prizes. One representative and one runner-up will be selected.
Selections for the Extreme Cosplay Gathering
Participants will compete for a spot in the final of the Extreme Cosplay Gathering, which will take place in July 2026 at Japan Expo in Paris. This competition is open to solo, duo, trio, and quartet entries, with the possibility of being assisted by a Ninja (invisible stage assistant) for the solo, duo, and trio categories. Judging is based on 50% costume and 50% stage performance.
Selection for the Europa Cosplay Cup
Cosplayers will compete to represent Switzerland at the Europa Cosplay Cup final, which will be held in November 2026 at the Toulouse Game Show in France. This competition is judged equally on costume (50%) and stage performance (50%). Its unique concept includes an online jury vote during the final. One representative and one runner-up will be selected.
Selection for the Tournament of Champions
The best solo cosplayers will compete to earn their place in the final of the Tournament of Champions, which will take place in October 2026 at Yunicon in Vienna, Austria. This competition focuses entirely on costume quality (100%). One representative and one runner-up will be selected.
Selection for the World Cosplay Summit
The competition will designate the Swiss duo that will participate in the prestigious World Cosplay Summit, the largest duo cosplay competition in the world, held in August 2026 in Nagoya, Japan. Judging is based on 50% costume and 50% stage performance. One representative duo and one runner-up duo will be selected.
Beginner Cosplay Competition
This competition is specially designed for novice cosplayers and is open to all age groups. It welcomes those entering their first competition, those who received help from friends or family, those who customized their costume, or those who purchased it. Judging is based on 50% costume and 50% stage performance. The top 3 — whether solo or groups (up to a maximum of 3 members) — will receive prizes.
General Solo Competition
If spots remain available after the selections for European and world competitions, this solo competition will allow cosplayers to try their luck. Judged 50% on costume and 50% on stage performance, the best participants will be ranked in a top 3 and will receive prizes.
General Group Competition
If spots remain available after the selections for European and world competitions, this group competition will allow cosplay teams to try their luck. Judged 50% on costumes and 50% on collective stage performance, the best groups will be ranked in a top 3 and will receive prizes.
