Hironobu Kageyama (Dragon Ball Z, One Punch Man)
Hironobu Kageyama, the legendary singer behind iconic anime themes like Dragon Ball Z, One Punch Man, and JAM PROJECT, will be at Polymanga in Lausanne on April 20-21, 2025 (Easter weekend). To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival and the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball, Polymanga has invited the king of anime opening songs. Tickets are available now on Polymanga.com and at all PAYOT bookstores.
Hironobu Kageyama is a living legend of anime theme songs in Japan. He began his career in 1977 at the age of 16 with the band LAZY. In 1985, he launched his solo career, which skyrocketed when he performed the first and second opening themes for Dragon Ball Z: CHA-LA HEAD CHA-LA, WE GOTTA POWER, and the ending theme 2 Bokutachi wa Tenshi Datta (We Were Angels).
In 2000, Hironobu Kageyama formed the group JAM PROJECT, with which he performed numerous anime theme songs, including the opening for One Punch Man. The group will also be known for many Videogames songs.
Hironobu Kageyama hasn’t performed in a French-speaking country for many years, so we are extremely excited to welcome him to Polymanga for two mini-concerts on Sunday, April 20, 2025, and Monday, April 21, 2025.
The concert is limited to 1,500 seats in the theater, available exclusively to festival attendees. Reservations will be open as soon as Polymanga opens,
