40 years of career: Mahiro Maeda, Animation Director at Studio Khara, will be at @Polymanga on April 4–5 in Beaulieu Lausanne for conferences and signings. This pillar of Japanese animation, already involved in the early days of Studio Gainax and the founding of Studio Gonzo, has left his artistic mark on numerous works: Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0 and 3.0+1, Mad Max: Fury Road, Gunbuster, Kaiju No. 8, Shin Gozilla, SSSS.Gridman, Escaflowne, Blue Submarine No.6, Animatrix, Gankutsou: le Compte de Montecristo et plus récemment Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

In February 2025, he released his first artbook: Zatsu: Mahiro Maeda Masahiro “That’s Art Book.”
